Notes and Little Details 
Perhaps you would like to know a few details about the differences between my Austin A40 Devons? Well here is a couple to start with. I hope to add more from time to time........... If you know of something I don't (I'm learning too!) please let me know and I'll add your information to my "Mechanical Tips" page to help others (and myself).
The Greeny color car is a 1949 model:
It has metal slides for the front seats.
It has a steel plate in the roof over the front wind screen with a round hole in it (possibly for a radio speaker)
One head lamp has the old type of "cats eye" glass.
The front doors have no quarter lights.
Has a rubber beading covered with cloth around all the door surrounds.
The Two-Tone car is a 1950 model:
Has metal slides for the front seats.
Has a large steel plate that can be unscrewed over the front wind screen.
It has the standard type of head lamps (not sealed beam)
The front doors have got quarter lights.
Has pressed metal strips around all the door surrounds instead of rubber clad with cloth.
The First Black car is a 1951 model:
Has wooden slides for the front seats.
Has a piece of plywood over the front wind screen for the speaker.
It had standard head lamps.
The front doors have quarter lights.
Has pressed metal strips around all the door surrounds instead of rubber clad with cloth.
